Why we exist.

Tattoos can represent growth, change, and chapters of life. Sometimes they stop fitting. Whether you are clearing space for a cover-up, preparing for a new job, or moving on from a past version of yourself, our goal is simple: make the process feel safe, clear, and supported.

Clarity is a locally owned Massachusetts small business, not a national chain, and tattoo removal is all we do. We opened our first studio in Davis Square, Somerville, in the fall of 2024 and our second in Framingham in 2026.

Safe, modern technology

We use advanced picosecond laser technology to target ink effectively while prioritizing healthy healing.

  • Tailored settings by color, depth, and skin
  • A careful approach to settings and spacing
  • Clear aftercare guidance every visit

Care that feels human

We believe the experience matters as much as the result. You will always know what we are doing and why.

  • Honest expectations and timelines
  • Comfort tools available during treatment
  • Support between sessions when questions come up

Candela PicoWay

The technology we use.

PicoWay delivers energy in ultra-short picosecond pulses, with wavelength and treatment settings selected based on the tattoo pigment and your skin type. Your body clears the broken-down ink gradually between sessions.

Picosecond pulses

Extremely short pulses break pigment into smaller particles for your body to clear.

Settings for your tattoo

Wavelength and energy are chosen for the ink colors, density and your skin type.

Removal or fading

The same platform is used for complete removal and for lightening before a cover-up.

Comfort built in

Zimmer Cryo cold air cooling is used during treatment.

Quick FAQs.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. Consultations are free and include measurement, plan overview, and pricing options.

How long does tattoo removal take?

Most tattoos require multiple sessions. Treatments are typically spaced about 8 to 10 weeks apart, with longer intervals sometimes recommended later in the removal process. We will give you a realistic range after assessment.

Is tattoo removal safe for all tattoos?

Most tattoos can be treated, but variables like ink colors, skin type, and medical history matter. We screen carefully to prioritize safety.

Can you fade a tattoo for a cover-up?

Yes. Fading is a popular option for cover-ups and reworks. We can coordinate with your artist if helpful.
